With new COVID-19 safety measures to follow, travel looks a lot different right now. Here's what you should know before you get on that plane to Fire Island:

• Know if any restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so be sure to check in advance.
• Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA officer will require you to adjust your mask for ID purposes.

• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA agent will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
